Job summary

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking a Surgical Services Aide to support life-changing surgeries by preparing operating rooms, safely transporting patients, and maintaining a clean, organized environment that directly impacts patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities include stocking and preparing ORs, transferring patients, turnover between cases, monitoring equipment, and upholding strict cleanliness standards across the surgical suite.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Medical Terminology Preferred.
• Hospital Experience Preferred.

• Transporting and transferring patients safely, verifying their identity, and following protocols for those with special needs or medical equipment.

• Monitoring equipment for potential issues and promptly reporting concerns to support smooth, safe surgical operations.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the surgical suite, including hallways, supply areas, and common spaces, to help protect every patient.
