Job summary

Vail Health in Colorado is seeking an OR Anesthesia Support teammate to stock anesthesia equipment, assist anesthesiologists, and maintain operating room readiness. You will stock carts, ensure machines are ready, assist with patient transport, and support turnover between cases as part of the Surgical Team.

The role requires one year of OR experience preferred, Basic Life Support certification, and good English skills. Wages are hourly based with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• One year OR experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must possess English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
• Must have working knowledge of computers to complete online learning requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean, restock and maintain all anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Ensure anesthesia machines are ready in the surgical suites.
• Assist with stocking specialty equipment to anesthesia setups.
• Clean, restock and maintain OR rooms, cupboards and drawers.
• Transport patients to and from the OR.
• Assist with turnover of OR rooms between cases.
• Report safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with Materials Management for ordering and inventory of anesthesia supplies.
• Participate in quality improvement programs and uphold Just Culture principles.
