Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an OR Aide to provide essential operational and clinical support in the operating room. The role includes preparing anesthesia equipment, assisting providers, and ensuring rooms are cleaned and turned over between cases in line with infection control standards.

The position supports the department’s workflow with inventory tasks, patient movement, and participation in improvement projects. Per diem, dayshift, Gouverneur Hospital.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sterility and cleaning in a sterile environment.
• High School Diploma/ Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains Anesthesia equipment and supplies as directed by Anesthesia Providers.
• Assist anesthesia providers as directed.
• Responsible for surgical room cleanliness and turning over rooms between surgeries, maintains operating rooms and support areas. Adheres to infection control policies and procedures.
• Monitor and assist with inventory control including but not limited to restocking anesthesia supplies.
• Assist in moving and positioning patients.
• Participate in performance improvement projects.
• Delivers appropriate equipment to specified areas. Examples include but are not limited to orthopedic equipment, inpatient beds, ambulatory stretchers, and patient positioning devices.
