Qualifications
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Certification as an Optometric Technician, Ophthalmic Technician, or Paraoptometric Assistant is preferred.
Prior experience in an FQHC, community health, or ophthalmology/optometry practice is appreciated.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for eye exams by obtaining medical and social histories.
Perform preliminary vision testing and diagnostic procedures.
Assist Optometrists and Ophthalmologists during exams.
Document clinical information in electronic health records.
Support coordination and follow-up for patient care.
