Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Certification as an Optometric Technician, Ophthalmic Technician, or Paraoptometric Assistant is preferred.
• Prior experience in an FQHC, community health, or ophthalmology/optometry practice is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye exams by obtaining medical and social histories.
• Perform preliminary vision testing and diagnostic procedures.
• Assist Optometrists and Ophthalmologists during exams.
• Document clinical information in electronic health records.
• Support coordination and follow-up for patient care.
