Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital invites an Optometrist to join a thriving outpatient private practice in Alabama, offering a supportive, patient-focused environment with strong earning potential and a predictable schedule. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with no evenings or weekends.

Compensation includes a base salary starting at $130,000-$150,000 with quarterly bonuses, total earnings up to $180,000-$200,000, plus a $25,000 sign-on bonus and relocation

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible optometrist.
• Private practice setting in outpatient ophthalmic care.
• Experience in comprehensive optometry is preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible Optometrist seeking a supportive, patient-focused environment with strong earning potential and a predictable schedule.

Practice Highlights

• Fully comprehensive private practice with nine fully equipped exam rooms
• Dedicated support team including clinical staff, front desk, and optician for retail needs
• Advanced diagnostic tools: OCTs, Optos retinal imaging, IOP testing, corneal topography, and applanation tonometry

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • No evenings or weekends!

Compensation & Benefits

• Guaranteed base salary starting at $130,000-$150,000 based on experience, for a 2-year contract
• Quarterly production bonuses available
• Total earning potential up to $180,000-$200,000 annually
  • $25,000 sign-on bonus
