Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years in optometric/ophthalmic practice or one year in a back-office provider support role with KP Optometry training
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Presents paraoptometric/ophthalmic credentials within designated timeframes

Responsibilities

  • Record patient medical and visual history and prep clinical information for doctors
  • Perform pre-testing and ocular measurements as directed
  • Maintain instruments and medications and ensure sterility
  • Coordinate patient care with other KP departments and optical dispensing
  • Manage doctor schedules and triage patient communications
  • Follow all policies and confidentiality guidelines
