Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics in northern Kentucky is seeking a full-scope optometrist to join a thriving ophthalmology practice with strong support staff and clinical autonomy.

The schedule typically runs 7:45-8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a morning clinic ending around noon and optional compensated call opportunities. Expect 65% routine vision care and 35% medical optometry, diagnosing and managing glaucoma and other conditions, while enjoying an excellent work-life balance and earning potential.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and manage glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eye, infections, corneal abrasions, and elevated IOP.
• Independently treat non-surgical ocular disease.
• Provide post-op care and co-manage surgical patients.

Scope of Practice:

• 65% routine vision care, 35% medical optometry
• Diagnose and manage glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eye, infections, corneal abrasions, and elevated IOP
• Independently treat non-surgical ocular disease
• Provide post-op care and co-manage surgical patients
• Perform punctal plug insertion, foreign body removal, and epilation
