Job summary

MRG EXAMS is seeking an Optometrist to conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans in Haysville, KS. The role involves reviewing electronic medical records, performing eye exams with Visual Field Testing, and documenting findings for VA forms.

Training and support are provided, with a predictable schedule and no on-call duties. You will work with a small caseload of 4-6 Veterans per day, using provided equipment, and operate within a secure documentation workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
• Review and analyze electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
• Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
• Accurately document exam findings and complete the required VA forms.

Note: This role does not involve treatment or prescribing medication. Disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the provider.

• Caseload: 4-6 Veterans per day on average.
• Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary tools for documentation.
