Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree required.
• Active optometry license in the applicable state or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to evaluate patients' vision and overall eye health.
• Identify and assess vision problems and potential eye diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses based on individual patient needs.
• Provide therapeutic treatments within the scope of applicable state regulations.
• Identify possible signs of systemic health conditions during eye evaluations.
• Explain examination results and recommend appropriate treatment options.
• Educate patients on preventive eye care, vision correction, and proper eyewear use.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record systems.
