This float position serves South Tampa and Brooksville, offering a dynamic team and varied cases.

You will conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, perform contact lens fittings, and collaborate with surgeons to co-manage cataract, refractive, glaucoma, and cornea

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid state optometry license or be actively obtaining one.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Passion for medical optometry; experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing eye conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams for new and established patients.
• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases across a diverse patient population.
• Provide expert contact lens fittings and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to co-manage cataract, refractive, glaucoma, and cornea patients.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and vision care best practices.
• Keep accurate, up-to-date EMR documentation.
• Work with ophthalmologists, technicians, and staff to ensure top-notch patient care.
