As an Associate Optometrist, you’ll provide comprehensive primary eye care and contact lens exams while supporting patients through each step of their visit, from understanding their visual needs to helping begin frame selections when needed. This role offers a flexible schedule ranging from eight to 40 hours per week, with associate doctors typically seeing about ten full exams and two follow-up visits per day. You’ll work closely with the optical and administrative teams to create a smooth, welcoming experience, educate patients on their eye health, recommend personalized vision solutions, and contribute to the practice’s commitment to high-quality, relationship-focused care.
You’re a licensed Optometrist in California with the required liability insurance and ability to complete VSP credentialing. In addition to strong clinical competency, you bring a patient-centered approach to care, with excellent communication skills and a genuine focus on building trusted relationships. You’re someone who values educating patients, understanding their unique vision needs, and creating a positive experience that makes them feel supported throughout their visit.
