AEG Vision in Tinley Park, IL seeks a licensed optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams and educate patients on eyecare. You will build long-term patient relationships, conduct health and ocular history interviews, and recommend treatments including eyewear and therapies.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsabilités

• Establish long term patient relationships through proper patient care and education.
• Performs verbal interview with patient prior to examination to determine health and ocular history, reasons for visit, and needs.
• Instructs and advises patients on remediation options for ametropias and ocular disease; hand-off to staff with recap.
• Generate patient loyalty and promote Acuity Eyecare Group values.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
• Recommend treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care after eye surgery.
• Evaluate patients for diseases such as diabetes and refer as needed.
• Counsel patients on eye health and lens choices with latest coatings and designs.
