Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Optometrist to join a multi-specialty practice in Bronx, New York. The role focuses on comprehensive eye care, including routine eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, and prescribing corrective lenses in a collaborative outpatient setting. New graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active New York State Optometry license.
• New graduates welcome; prior multi-specialty/outpatient optometry experience a plus.
• Proficient in comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems and eye diseases, prescribing corrective lenses and medications, and utilizing electronic health records.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, empathy, and patient education skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive routine eye examinations.
• Identify visual alertness, field of vision, and hand-eye coordination.
• Diagnose sight problems such as nearsightedness and color blindness.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
• Promote eye health by educating patients on eye care techniques.
• Identify and assess eye defects and diseases.
• Record all diagnoses and treatment plans including transfers and prescriptions.
