Job summary

Partners Insight in Riverview, FL is hiring an Optometrist for a brand new private practice setting. This role focuses on full-service vision care for children and adults, including advanced eye care, Dry Eye management and aesthetic services such as IPL and LLLT.

You will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose vision imparities, prescribe glasses and contacts, and co-manage care with local ophthalmologists while maintaining detailed patient records.

Qualifications

• Licensed optometrist or in final year of optometry school.
• Strong knowledge of eye diseases and vision defects.
• Ability to explain medical terms clearly to patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision tests.
• Diagnose eye defects such as myopia, astigmatism, glaucoma.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
• Co-manage patients with local ophthalmologists.

Job Description

Optometrist responsibilities include analyzing vision tests, diagnosing potential vision imparities, and prescribing corrective lenses and eyeglasses. To be successful in this role, the optometrist should be detail oriented, able to treat patients with kindness and discretion, from young children to the elderly. Ultimately, you will ensure the accurate diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision tests
• Diagnose defects of the eye, such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma
• Provide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to visual imparities based on each patient’s specific case and medical history
• Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, and contact lenses
• Advise patients on proper eye care techniques
• Keep updated and accurate medical records for all patients
• Advise patients on how to use and maintain their contact lenses
• Co-management of patients with local Ophthalmologists

Requirements

• Degree in Optometry, or currently enrolled in your 4th year of Optometry school
• In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects
• The ability to explain medical terms in a clear and concise manner

** To be considered for this position, you need to be a licensed optometrist, in the process of acquiring your license, or currently enrolled as a fourth-year student in an accredited School of Optometry.
