Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking optometrists to perform refractions and eyeglass fittings for military service members in New Jersey, primarily on weekends with occasional weekdays. You will work with equipment provided by DOCS Health to support troop readiness.

We value licensed, unrestricted OD practitioners who are available weekends and have a patient‑centered, compassionate approach. Experience with military settings is a plus.

Job description

Attention all Optometrists we are calling on you to work with us providing refractions and eyeglass fittings and treatment to our Military Service members.

We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of New Jersey on an \"as needed basis\".

We provide health readiness services to meet the medical requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:

• U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
• Army National Guard (ARNG)
• U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
• U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
• U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
• Air National Guard (ANG)
• U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include performing refractions and eyeglass fittings with equipment provided by DOCS Health.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted license/certification in the state
• Available for weekends and occasional weekdays
• Passionate, friendly, and caring
• Must have weekend availability
• Experience working with military - preferred
