Job summary

Vision To Learn is seeking a licensed optometrist to join our mobile clinic team serving school-aged children in the Philadelphia area. The position offers competitive pay at $85 per hour with no nights and limited weekends, plus PSLF potential.

Qualifications

• PA Optometry License required.
• Must be flexible to commute throughout the greater Philadelphia area, including Philadelphia, Delaware, and Chester counties.
• Must pass Department of Justice background check (LiveScan) and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision evaluations: check VA’s, binocular vision, IOP, pupils, full refraction and prescribe correction, assess ocular health.
• Prescribe vision devices, test patient on applicable equipment to determine best option, and instruct patient in proper use.
• Ensure patient diagnosis is properly documented in internal systems.

Key Position Responsibilities

• Provide vision evaluations: check VA’s, assess binocular vision, IOP, pupils, perform a full refraction and prescribe appropriate correction, and assess ocular health
• Prescribe vision devices, tests patient on all applicable equipment to determine the most suitable for his/her condition, and instruct patient in the proper use of it
• Confirm that patient diagnosis is properly documented in the internal systems
