Job summary

NJ Eye and Ear seeks a qualified optometrist to perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose vision problems and eye diseases. You will prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or other treatments as needed and provide guidance on eye health and vision care options.

The role involves interpreting visual field tests, retinal imaging, and corneal topography, collaborating with other clinicians, and maintaining EMR records of examinations and treatments.

Qualifications

• Interpreting results and diagnostic data.
• Experience delivering senior eye care and addressing age-related vision issues.
• Excellent patient care, communication, and empathy for patients of all ages.
• Strong knowledge of eye anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency with optical equipment and procedures used in optometry.
• Experience using EMR/EHR systems for documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret medical records, test results, and reports.
• Sales ability to educate and recommend eyewear meeting visual needs.
• Experience caring for post-operative patients.
