Job summary

Visionworks is seeking an Optometrist to join our Abilene, TX location. You will provide comprehensive eye care, perform patient examinations, and recommend vision solutions based on findings. You will handle eye emergencies and collaborate with staff to improve access to care.

Our doctors use advanced diagnostics such as OCT, retinal cameras, and auto-refractors while leveraging EHRs. This role supports a growing network dedicated to serving patients with quality care.

Qualifications

• OD degree and licensure in good standing.
• Excellent patient-facing clinical skills and bedside manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages.
• Recommend vision solutions based on findings and prescribe accordingly.
• Manage eye emergencies and coordinate care with team.
• Support patient access to care and participate in clinic operations.

You'll perform patient examinations, recommend vision-enhancing solutions based on prescription findings, handle eye emergencies, and collaborate with staff members to help deliver our commitment to improving access to healthcare.
