Job summary

Eye Health Consultants is seeking an Optometric Technician to assist with patient care and education. You will perform pre‑testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure efficient, high‑quality patient experiences.

The role includes documenting medical findings in the EHR, coordinating referrals, and maintaining clerical duties while delivering compassionate support to patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care.
• Experience maintaining patient records per HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support Optometrists with pre-testing procedures and education.
• Schedule and manage doctor’s appointment calendar and referrals.
• Perform diagnostic testing using specialty equipment as needed (OCT, Visual Field, etc.).
• Record medical findings in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Handle phone inquiries regarding medications and treatments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice area.
