MyEyeDr is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary testing, and documenting medical history. Training will be provided to learn pretest equipment and vision screenings, with some weekend and evening shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with basic math
• Personable and patient with patients during screening
• Detail oriented and able to work with the Optometrist
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but training provided

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during appointment
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings
• Conduct contact lens training and preliminary testing
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience
