Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests professionally and manage front-desk interactions.
• Conduct patient pretests: medical history, acuity, IOP, OCT, photos.
• Explain testing procedures and obtain accurate results.
• Document pretest data into the EHR accurately and timely.
• Assist with contact lens fitting and patient education.
• Support Optometrist during examinations as needed.
• Help patients select frames and lenses; collaborate with team.

We offer the latest technology for testing and treating eye disease. You will be trained on the Heidelberg OCT, Konan cell count, Humphrey Visual Fields, LKC ERG, and B-scan. In addition to assisting with contact lens training, Lipiflow, low light level therapy, and IPL. Your rule is vital for patient care. We work hard to help our team enjoy what we do for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet all office guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Gather preliminary data through patient pretest, such as documenting chief complaints, gathering patient’s medical history, measuring visual acuity, eye movement, interocular pressure (IOP), retinal photos, visual fields, and optical coherence tomography (OCT).
• Educate the patient throughout the prescreening process about what each machine is testing for and provide instructions to provide accurate test results.
• Accurately and efficiently document the results of pretesting into the current EHR program.
• Educate and instruct the patient on insertion, removal, and proper care of contact lenses.
• Assist the Optometrist as needed during examinations.
• Assist the patient in making decisions about frames and lenses.
• Assist other members of the team when needed and available.

Required Skills
