EssilorLuxottica is seeking an Optometric Technician to ensure high-quality eye care and a seamless patient experience by connecting the doctor with other care functions during exams. You will assist with patient care, manage records, and support flow throughout the exam.
You will perform tests to aid the optometrist, review prescriptions, handle HIPAA-compliant records, support contact lens exams, and operate the scheduling and point-of-sale systems. Weekend and evening shifts may be required.
The Optometric Technician ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care while receiving an eye exam. This role provides an unsurpassed patient experience by seamlessly linking the doctor and other primary care functions together.
Assist with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam. Perform tests to aid the optometrist with vision examinations and diagnoses, review prescriptions, handle patient records in compliance with HIPAA, support contact lens exams and orders, operate the point‑of‑sale system, maintain a safe working environment, and comply with company policies.
