Job summary

Visionworks of America in Greenwood, IN is hiring an Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS)/Optometric Assistant (Telehealth) to be the face of patient care and guide patients through remote eye exams.

The role involves assisting remote eye exam processes, liaising with Telemedicine Physicians, keeping accurate patient records, and helping educate patients transitioning to the sales floor, while supporting the store's exam lane maintenance and service goals.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.

Pay Class: Full Time

Pay Rate: $11.86 - 16.01 per hour

The Role

A Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS)/Optometric Assistant (Telehealth) is the very face of our patient care and is dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient during our Telemed remote eye exam. This person is trained and knowledgeable about eye health and preliminary testing, optics, our products/services and managed vision care. The TS personally takes the patient through their entire Visionworks experience ensuring their eye exam and eyewear needs are met in a simple, human and bold way.

• Personally assist remote eye exam processes and act as liaison between patients and Telemedicine Remote Physicians
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.

Compensation range for the roles is listed above. Applicable salary rangers may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses, equity, and commissions.
