Pay Class: Part Time
Pay: $10.64-$14.10 per hour

The Role:

A Visionworks OD Tech/Optometric Assistant is the face of our exam practice, dedicated to ensuring the best patient experience. This role involves being knowledgeable about eye health, preliminary testing, optics, our products/services, and managed vision care. The OD Tech guides patients through the initial steps of their eye care journey, ensuring their needs are met with a human and bold approach.

• Maintain accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patients to the OD and provide essential patient information.
• Assist in transitioning patients from the doctor to the sales floor, providing staff with information to recommend suitable products and services.
• Support daily operations such as restocking, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to enhance the patient experience.
• Support store opening and closing procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Customer or patient service experience preferred but not required.
• HS diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Licensed OD Techs must hold and maintain a State Opticians License.
