Job summary

KLA in Milpitas, CA is seeking an Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer to design, prototype and validate precision mechanisms for BBP wafer inspection systems. You will work with system, optical, electrical and software teams to derive requirements, perform tolerance analyses and release mechanism designs for manufacturing.

Qualified candidates typically hold a doctorate or master’s with relevant experience; Creo CAD and ANSYS experience are preferred.

  • Qualify and release the mechanism design and support onsite manufacturing.

The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes.
