Job summary

Old Mission, a global proprietary trading firm with offices in Chicago, seeks a Fundamental Analyst to join the Options team at our Chicago headquarters. You will conduct economic, event-driven, and company-specific research to uncover new trading opportunities and provide the fundamental overlay used by traders.

You will collaborate with traders, analyze data across markets, and develop tools to quantify market signals while staying up to date with breaking events.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or advanced degree in quantitative field.
• Extensive knowledge of securities analysis.
• Analyst experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to think quantitatively and communicate clearly in time-sensitive trading environments.
• Proficient in researching across domestic and international markets.
• Programming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze financial/events/information that will have an impact on the options of underlying securities
• Support traders by being the sole point of contact for conducting quantitative and macroeconomic research
• Analyze datasets to identify their potential impact on the price of certain securities and their underlying options
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on information that could affect trading decisions
• Collaborate directly with traders by providing them with the fundamental overlay necessary to do many things, including developing tools, analyzing market data, and testing strategies
