Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector II for the Optics line on the 2nd shift in Tualatin, OR. This role focuses on routine visual and mechanical inspections per technical documentation, requiring 2–5 years of inspection experience and basic GD&T knowledge.

You will work in a team with some independence, handling data, using ORACLE, and contributing to continuous improvement. On-site with standard shifts, overtime and cross-functional opportunities may arise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically requires 2-5 years of experience as Quality Inspector I.
• Basic proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Ability to identify features for inspection and assign dimensional values and tolerances.
• Ability to learn from experienced Inspectors and supervision.
• Basic familiarity with GD&T.
• Competence with equipment such as Duramax, automated hardness testers, surface finish testers to training standards.
• Agile, Oracle, QCcal, and Prolink competency.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
• Contribute to inspection tasks as trained.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review inspection data to ensure component integrity and resolve discrepancies.
• Use ORACLE to move material through work orders and generate non-conformance documents.
• Load components into inspection equipment and report results using quality data systems.
• Learn basic precision measuring hand tools and comparators used in inspections.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement tasks and communicate issues to supervision.
• Participate in 5S workplace organization and maintain a clean area.
• Follow required Safety and ISO procedures.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality are required.
• May work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
