Newport Avenue Optometry is seeking a part-time Optician. This role involves helping patients select eyewear, interpreting prescriptions, and ensuring a great fit for their vision and lifestyle. You will also assist with inventory, adjustments, and repairs, while meeting patient needs with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Training is provided if you lack optical experience. The position offers a supportive team environment with opportunities to grow within the practice.

Formación

• 0–3 years of experience (optical experience is a plus, but training is provided)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills for a fast-paced environment
• Coachable attitude—eager to learn and grow in optics
• Flexibility to meet changing patient needs and office demands

Responsabilidades

Optician (Part Time) - Newport Ave Optometry

Schedule: 24-27 hours per week, alternating every other Saturday

What You’ll Do:

• Review prescriptions and work closely with patients to choose the ideal eyewear for both medical needs and aesthetic preferences
• Provide honest and thoughtful guidance on frame choices, ensuring patients leave satisfied with their vision and style

• Manage and maintain eyewear inventory to ensure a great selection of frames and lenses
• Perform adjustments and repairs on eyewear, offering personalized service that makes a lasting impression
