Qualifications
Ph.D. in Optics/Engineering/Physics with minimum 8 years of relevant work experience.
Excellent foundational knowledge of DWDM systems and transmission fiber effects.
Hands-on experience with DWDM transmission systems including coherent transponders.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and architecture of novel optical DWDM communication systems.
Align closely with Product Line Management on product requirements.
Architect a DWDM line system considering transmission characteristics.
Design and validate optical line system control systems.
Develop system design rules and performance models.
Skills
Excellent foundational knowledge of DWDM systems
Hands-on experience with DWDM transmission systems
Working knowledge of closed loop and open loop control systems
Knowledge of advanced coherent modulation formats
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Highly motivated team player
