Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Optical & Space Lasers Manufacturing team in Redmond, Washington. This role requires strong mechanical design knowledge and hands-on manufacturing experience to support satellite optical assemblies.

The successful candidate will manage integration and testing operations, design fixtures and fluid systems, and work closely with engineering and production teams. Comprehensive benefits, including stock options and 401(k), are offered as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional mechanical design or hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of common manufacturing processes and hands-on experience machining parts.
• Basic proficiency with Python or other programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Manage integration build flow and test operations.
• Design fixtures, mechanisms, and fluid systems for testing.
• Develop and refine testing and manufacturing assembly procedures.
