Job summary

Keysight Technologies seeks a Solutions Engineer - Optical Solutions in the Santa Clara area, with strong background in optical networking and test/measurement. You will partner with AI data centers, hyperscalers, and module vendors to architect testing and validation solutions that power next-generation AI infrastructure.

The role requires deep tech expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related); Master's/PhD preferred.
• 10+ years in optical communications, test, or support.
• Experience with silicon photonics/CPO and 400G/800G/1.6T interconnects.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AI data centers, hyperscalers, and vendor teams to define optical test solutions.
• Bridge customers, Sales, and Keysight's Optical COE to translate requirements into implementations.
• Design end-to-end optical test solutions across lasers, modulators, transceivers, and systems.
• Collaborate with product management, R&D, and cross-functional teams for customer-driven insights.
• Travel 10–25% (up to ~50% for exceptional cases).
