Columbus Technologies & Services is seeking an aerospace software engineer to support the development and flight software implementation of advanced optical navigation image processing algorithms for lunar and airless-body missions.

You will integrate celestial, limb, and TRN navigation techniques, benchmark algorithms, and advance map-free visual odometry within demanding spaceflight environments.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience in spacecraft navigation, flight software, or related aerospace field.
• Proficiency in C++, Python and MATLAB for algorithm development and flight software.
• Strong OpenCV experience for image processing and visual odometry.
• Deep understanding of optical navigation (OpNav), celestial, limb and TRN.
• Map-free navigation and visual odometry expertise.
• Ability to design and execute rigorous testing and benchmarking of navigation software.
• Knowledge of lunar and airless-body orbital mechanics.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement advanced optical navigation image processing algorithms into flight software.
• Perform rigorous testing, benchmarking, and continuous improvement of celestial, limb, and TRN algorithms.
• Develop and test map-free terrain-relative navigation algorithms based on visual odometry.
