Job summary

Object Oriented Search in Keene, NH is hiring an Optical Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the senior technical expert for optical systems manufacturing. The Optical Manufacturing Engineer serves as the senior technical expert for optical systems manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the subject matter expert for manufacturing engineering, providing technical leadership on production methods, process optimization, capacity planning, and manufacturing readiness for advanced products.
• Develop and execute manufacturing engineering strategies that support the production of complex precision assemblies while aligning with business objectives, customer expectations, and operational goals.
• Establish, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing standards, production processes, work instructions, routing documentation, and quality systems to ensure efficient, repeatable operations.
• Lead production readiness activities for new product introductions, design changes, and manufacturing transitions, ensuring all manufacturing requirements are defined and validated prior to release.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; Master's degree or other advanced degree preferred.
• 10–15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, production, process, or industrial engineering, with a strong background in highly engineered, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience supporting the production of complex products within optical systems, photonics, aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, medical device, or other highly regulated industries.
