SpaceX is seeking a Space Lasers Engineer for Satellites (Starlink) in Redmond, WA to design and validate free-space optical communications terminals and imaging products for the Starlink constellation.

You will apply optics knowledge, lead tests, and collaborate with software, manufacturing, and reliability teams. This role requires hands-on lab work, strong programming skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in physics, EE, or related STEM field.
• 2+ years in optics, photonics, laser tech, or precision design/testing.

Responsabilités

• Apply optics/pphotonics to design, analysis, and validation of optical systems.
• Lead optical architecture through trades, COOs, and risk testing.
• Perform verification, environmental qualification, and performance characterization.
