Job summary

National Vision Lab in Salt Lake City seeks a detail-oriented Optical Lab Manufacturing professional for dayshift operations. You will operate AR coating equipment, monitor processes, inspect lenses, and maintain production records to ensure high-quality results.

Ideal candidates have experience in optical manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with a team while following safety protocols in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in optical manufacturing, coating processes, or related manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precision in a fast-paced production setting.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate specialized manufacturing equipment.
• Solid understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team during dayshift hours.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document production data accurately.
• Preferred: Experience with anti-reflective coating technology or optical lens manufacturing.
• Preferred: Background in equipment operation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
• Preferred: Familiarity with quality assurance processes and statistical process control.

Responsibilities

• Operate anti-reflective coating equipment and machinery according to established protocols and technical specifications.
• Monitor and control coating processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to production standards.
• Inspect coated optical lenses for defects, surface quality, and anti-reflective properties using visual inspection and measurement tools.
• Maintain accurate production records, documentation, and quality control logs throughout each shift.
• Organize and maintain work stations, equipment, and materials in a clean and efficient manner.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and calibration as required.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues to supervisory staff.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations within the optical manufacturing facility.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes and equipment performance.

Working Hours and Pay

• Mon -Thurs (with some Saturdays): 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM during peak time. (Friday off)
• Starting Pay: Tech I-$15.50 per hour plus production bonus

We're looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Optical Lab Manufacturing professional to join our team in Salt Lake City, United States. In this dayshift position, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining anti-reflective coating equipment while ensuring the highest quality standards in optical lens production.
