Job summary

Eyemart Express is seeking an Optical Lab Manager to lead the in-store lab operations, ensuring timely and accurate production of eyeglasses with high quality standards. You will manage a lab team, schedule maintenance, and coordinate with store colleagues to meet production goals while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with safety and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working in the optical industry is required.
• Experience managing people is preferred.
• Experience working in a lab environment and with optical lab machinery is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lab Management: Maintain the lab area and equipment in a safe and organized manner.
• Manage the lab team to meet all production goals and objectives.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly lab equipment maintenance per specifications.
• Problem Solving: Identify and solve problems and facilitate team problem solving.
• Operational Excellence: Read and interpret prescriptions, ensure proper lens cutting, and maintain high workmanship and quality.
