Job summary

Retym seeks an Optical DSP Chief Architect to lead the system architecture of cutting-edge DSP solutions for high-speed optical communication systems. The role requires steering architecture for 800G/1.6T networks and beyond, optimizing DSP performance with hardware and firmware teams.

You will drive modelling, validation, and collaborations with photonics/RF groups to align DSP with market needs and evolving semiconductors.

• Define the system architecture for optical DSP chips used in high-speed optical communication networks (800G/1.6T and beyond).
• Improve the algorithms for equalization, error correction, clock and data recovery, and other signal processing functions.
• Work closely with hardware, firmware, and Chip architect to optimize DSP implementation for performance, power, and area.
• Conduct system-level modelling and simulations to validate DSP algorithms and architectures.
• Collaborate with photonics and RF teams to ensure seamless integration of DSP with optical front-end components.
• Define key performance metrics and validation methodologies for DSP architectures.
• Work with customers and industry partners to align DSP architectures with market needs and emerging technologies.
• Continuously monitor and adopt advancements in optical communications, DSP methodologies, and semiconductor technologies.
