Job summary

Yoh Services LLC is seeking an Optical Design Engineer to join our Mountain View team. You will model and simulate optical systems, analyze performance, and conduct stray-light investigations for advanced display and imaging hardware.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and product teams to define requirements, tolerances, and integration into manufacturable designs, using Zemax/LightTools/CODE V and Python for automation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, Optics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in optical design, modeling and simulation.
• Experience with optical simulation tools (Zemax/LightTools/CODE V).
• Experience leading technical projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform optical system modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.
• Conduct stray-light modeling and related investigations.
• Support design of advanced display and imaging systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and product teams to define requirements and tolerances.
• Build and maintain optical models using commercial platforms and Python tools for analysis and reporting.
