Responsibilities

• Coordinate duties as assigned.
• Emergency response for police, fire, EH&S as needed.
• Complete EH&S IIIR form for injuries at Vet Med.
• Respond to alarms and security events at the facility.
• Provide polite, professional customer service in person, by phone, or email.
• Lock up the Vet Med facility and manage checkpoints.
• Follow shift instructions, post orders and emails as directed.
• Operate and report issues from Genetec security camera system.
• Notify Security Supervisor of any safety or security concerns.
• Operate Lenel door system and report issues.
• Perform facility safety patrols and various parking tasks.
• Run parking lot, RV, and visitor parking duties as assigned.
• Respond to fire alarms and other lab equipment alarms.
• Conduct AV inspections and door lock/unlock as needed.
• Log shift events, logs and facility lockups.
• Enforce restricted access to bio hazard bins and facility.
• Manage event duties like signs and barricades.

Job Description

Coordinate the following duties as assigned:

• Emergency response of police, fire, EH&S, etc. for emergencies as needed
• Completion of EH&S IIIR form for all injuries at Vet Med
• Response to fire alarms and other alarms at facility
• Customer Service Interaction both direct and indirect contact. In person, phone, email, etc. Security Officers will be polite, professional, helpful, have a positive attitude, and demonstrate emotional intelligence in all customer interactions.
• Facility Lock Ups of entire Vet Med facility including scan checkpoints.
• Shift Instructions, Post Orders, emails, and in person instruction as outline by Security Supervisor and Security Policy.
• Know and act on instructions and policies as provided by Security Supervisor and Security Policy.
• Operate, respond to, and report issues from the Genetec security camera surveillance system
• Security Supervisor notification for any situation that adversely affects the safety or security of the facility.

Expected Salary
