Job summary

ENGIE North America in Golden, CO seeks an Operations & Maintenance Technician II to safely start, operate, and monitor boilers, gas turbines, engines, and generators. Includes maintenance tasks, record-keeping, and training responsibilities as part of a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years in a skilled trade, plus a valid U.S. driver's license. ENGIE offers comprehensive benefits and a bonus/incentive plan eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of relevant experience and/or training in a skilled trade such as Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Electrician, or Instrument & Control Technician.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and be willing to drive a company vehicle.
  • Daily site presence with 12-hour rotating shift work.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the plant and equipment, perform scheduled plant checks, and document findings.
  • Assist in planning and executing outages for inspections, overhauls, repairs, and cleaning.
  • Help prepare operations, maintenance, and HSE procedures and reports.
  • Maintain accurate records while monitoring plant equipment and systems.
  • Participate in ongoing training and assist in training others.
  • Train and qualify as an Operator Technician at ENGIE facilities in the Denver/Golden area.
  • Carry out other duties related to safe plant operations, maintenance, and reliability.

What You Can Expect

As our Operations & Maintenance Technician II, in Golden, CO you will be responsible for the safe and reliable start-up, operation, and continuous monitoring of boilers, gas turbines, reciprocating engines, electric generators, and associated auxiliary and balance of plant equipment as directed by management. You will perform selective maintenance on various in-plant and/or satellite equipment. This position reports to the Operations Manager & Shift Lead Supervisor.

You will:

  • Inspect the plant and equipment, including carrying out scheduled plant checks, and prepare necessary reports and log entries
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing unit outages for inspections, overhauls, repairs, and cleaning
  • Assist with preparation and administration of operations, maintenance, and Health Safety & Environmental procedures and reports
  • Maintain accurate records while monitoring and maintaining plant equipment and systems
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain and enhance skills required to perform duties and assist in the training of others
  • Train and qualify as an Operator Technician at the ENGIE facilities in the Denver/Golden Colorado area
  • Complete other duties related to safe plant operations, maintenance, and reliability
What You’ll Bring

  • This role requires attendance at a worksiteon a daily basis; this position requires 12 hour rotating shift work
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license; will drive company vehicle
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;
  • This position consists of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
Compensation

Hourly Range: $36.75 to $42.00 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
