Working Title: OPS DENTAL ASSISTANT – 64918026

Responsibilities

This position is assigned to the Operations and Management Consultant II to perform chair-side assistance to the dentist. The assistant interacts closely with patients, the dentist, and other dental staff. Responsibilities include providing assistance with preventive, therapeutic, and surgical clinical procedures such as dental prophylaxis, sealants, restorations, and extractions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Skilled in placing sealants, assisting the dentist, and working independently.
  • Ability to prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate.
  • Florida Dental Radiography Certificate.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support.
  • Willingness to accept the offered salary.

Preferred:

  • Graduate from a formal accredited dental assisting school.
  • Six months of dental assisting experience.
  • Experience with pediatric patients, instrument sterilization, assisting with procedures, exposing dental x‑rays, and instructing patients on oral hygiene.
