Job summary

Leidos seeks an Expert-level Imagery Scientist (OPIR) to represent our team at Buckley AFB, CO. The role serves as a customer-facing technical authority and leads critical analyses across optics, thermal radiation, and signal processing.

Responsibilities include leveraging ArcGIS, SQL/Oracle, Python/R, and Tableau for geospatial analytics, and providing informal leadership to the team while liaising with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 15+ years’ experience.
• Strong physics and math with optics, thermal radiation, and signal processing.
• Experience with extraction and metadata specs and relational databases (RDBMS).
• Ability to lead and communicate with government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver deep physics- and math-driven analysis across optics, thermal radiation, and signal processing.
• Leverage geospatial data management and analytics tools (ArcGIS, SQL/Oracle, Python/R, Tableau).
• Provide informal technical leadership and customer-facing authority for Leidos.
