VCA Family and Oahu Veterinary Specialty Center in Pearl City, HI is expanding our Ophthalmology service and seeking a Veterinary Technician to join the team. You will work closely with our ophthalmologist to care for patients and support owner communication.
As a Veterinary Technician, you will handle exam rooms, diagnostics, prescription management, anesthesia monitoring, and assist with surgical procedures in a compassionate, team‑oriented environment.

Compensation: $20 - 32/hr Starting range is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
Eye problems are some of the most common reasons owners bring their pet to the veterinarian. Specific eye problems can be challenging to diagnose and treat, which is where our Ophthalmology service steps in. Our services and medical equipment mirror what one would find at a human medical center. Our Ophthalmologist's focus is to improve our patient's quality of life by providing effective treatment and support services.
As a Veterinary Technician and a member of our Ophthalmology team, you will be responsible for providing care to patients in conjunction with our Ophthalmologist.
Responsibilities of the technician include exam rooms, diagnostics, prescription management, client education, anesthetic/surgical procedures, safe patient handling, and other duties as assigned.
