MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets is seeking a skilled veterinary professional to join the Ophthalmology team. The role involves assisting with patient care and surgical procedures, particularly in ocular testing and anesthesia monitoring.
This position requires prior veterinary experience, preferably in ophthalmology, and offers comprehensive health benefits, a 401k plan, and paid time off. The work schedule is Monday to Friday. Veterinary Eye Institute (VEI) a MedVet Partner, is the leading veterinarian owned and led network of stand‑alone ophthalmology practices. We help our patients receive advanced medical treatments and innovations. We treat things like cataracts, glaucoma, uveitis, ulcers, sudden blindness, and so much more! We are looking for collaborative and driven people to join our clinical team.
M-F 8:30 am‑5:30 pm
The Ophthalmology team is unique in that it specializes in appointment‑based patient care, as well as assisting and preparing for surgeries. Ophthalmology is a fast‑paced service with a high caseload, alternating between appointment and surgery days. You could assist with tonometry, corneal stains, Schirmer tear testing, as well as TPRs and chemical ablations.
