The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Fresno VA Medical Center is offering a physician position eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).

The program provides student loan repayment, with awards up to $200,000 and an eligibility period of one to five years, determined after review by the Education Loan Repayment Services office. Qualifications

• United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may be appointed when not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
• Degree of doctor of medicine or equivalent (MD/DO) in allopathic or osteopathic medicine.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States or DC.
• Completed residency training in an accredited core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• May require board certification for certain faculty/specialist roles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for diseases requiring eye surgery or related care.
• Provide consultation and care for patients and staff, maintain patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrate commitment to Performance Improvement and aging-related care considerations.
