Job summary

Syneos Health, Inc. is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to operate in the ophthalmology space. The role is field-based and requires translating scientific data into meaningful insights for healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will engage in peer-to-peer dialogue, develop scientific strategy, and travel up to 60–80% to cover assigned territories, building relationships with KOLs and supporting Medical Affairs initiatives.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, OD or equivalent in life sciences).
• 3+ years of Medical Science Liaison experience (ophthalmology preferred).
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical and scientific data.
• Willingness to travel up to 60–80% within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs in ophthalmology.
• Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customer.
• Communicate clinical and scientific data to KOLs and healthcare professionals through presentations, educational programs, and scientific discussions.
• Serve as the primary resource to provide support for addressing unsolicited medical questions and other scientific exchange matters.
• Identify, gather, and document field-generated scientific insights to drive innovative Medical Affairs strategies while complying with industry and corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature to enable meaningful scientific exchange.
• Collaborate with field-based Medical colleagues, appropriate Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities
