American Vision Partners (AVP) is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse for our Ambulatory Surgical Center in Mesa, AZ. You will support perioperative care, prep and post-op areas, and assist anesthesia throughout the surgical workflow.

The ideal candidate holds an Arizona LPN license, BLS, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative surgical team. Ophthalmology experience is a plus and ASC experience is preferred.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of accredited Practical Nurse program.
• Current Arizona LPN license.
• BLS certification required.
• 1-year Ophthalmology experience as a Surgery RN is a plus.
• ASC experience preferred.
• Dedicated to patient satisfaction.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work as a member of the surgical team.

Responsabilidades

• Chart prep; histories and daily chart checks.
• Assist admission check-in.
• Prepare preoperative and postoperative areas; monitor cleanliness and equipment.
• Provide physical or emotional support to patients.
• Assist anesthesia during patient anesthetic stages.
• Assist in safe transport and positioning of patients.
• Provide evaluation and treatment under local anesthesia.
• Communicate with patient and family; provide information and support.
• Maintain accurate pre- and post-operative records.
• Start and remove IVs; administer medications as ordered.
• Monitor patients during pre- and post-operative phases.
• Participate in patient/family teaching.
• Order supplies for pre-op/recovery; ensure crash cart readiness.
• Follow code procedures; participate in drills.
