Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Ophthalmology Department, seeks a full-time Research Services Entry Professional to support clinical research labs. The role involves patient-oriented research, coordinating trials, collecting data, and handling specimens on site in Aurora, CO.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and knowledge of GCP; preferred candidates have experience with electronic data capture systems and healthcare research environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the institution.
• Outstanding customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and oversee the day to day operations of clinical trials and studies.
• Obtain study subject's medical history and current medication information, reviews protocol criteria and confirms eligibility.
• Perform informed consent process and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform collection of research patient specimens including phlebotomy or other body fluids.
• Process patient specimens for analysis and biobanking.
• Schedule subject participation in research trials and coordinate clinical research support.
• Collect, code, and analyze data obtained from research accurately and timely.
