Job summary

Asoprs in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a board-certified ophthalmologist to join our established practice. You will manage a broad spectrum of comprehensive ophthalmology cases and perform oculoplastic procedures including eyelid surgeries.

The role offers a busy mix of medical and surgical cases such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye, with access to an ASC and advanced imaging.

Qualifications

• Board-certified ophthalmologist with CA license or eligibility.
• Proficiency in comprehensive ophthalmology with comfort in oculoplastic surgery.
• Strong diagnostic acumen with modern ophthalmic imaging and laser technology.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive ophthalmic evaluations, including advanced diagnostics and treatment planning.
• Manage medical and surgical ophthalmology cases, including cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease, and retinal pathology.
• Conduct functional and cosmetic oculoplastic procedures, including eyelid surgeries, and minimally invasive treatments.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care for surgical patients.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging, such as OCT, fundus photography, and visual field testing.
• Work collaboratively with optometrists, subspecialists, and referring providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients on disease management and preventive care.
• Maintain clear, thorough, and timely documentation in compliance with medical and regulatory standards.
