Job Overview:

As an Ophthalmologist at Eye Associates of Plantation, you will be a key member of our eye care team, providing comprehensive medical and surgical eye care services to patients. Your expertise will contribute to the continued growth and success of our practice as we strive to deliver the highest standard of care. Residents in ophthalmology may apply who will be eligible to start in the next 12 months.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose eye conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Conduct surgeries, including cataract surgery, laser eye surgery, and other ophthalmic procedures.
  • Stay informed about advancements in ophthalmology and incorporate best practices into patient care.
  • Provide consultations and educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with medical standards.
Qualifications:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Residency training in Ophthalmology from an accredited program.
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology or Board Eligible
  • State medical license and eligibility for hospital privileges.
  • Strong surgical skills and experience in a variety of ophthalmic procedures
  • Experience with refractive cataract surgery and premium intraocular lenses is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
